On February 11th, even with a little chill and bluster in the air, we pressed on with our Spring Seed Swap, anticipating “The Warmth of Other Suns” (book reference by: Isabel Wilkerson) headed our way!
Tagging onto our host location – Project Row Houses’ “Second Saturday Market,” we welcomed the diversity of our Third Ward community with an abundant variety of certified organic seeds thanks to our Community Partner, Botanical Interest. As promised Chef Tarsha and Chef Nadine Nelson of Global Local Gourmet were on-site to activate the social engagement. Chef Nadine demo’d a tasty quick-prep salad dressing featuring sesame seeds and showed how easy it can be to whip up “Freestyle Flavor!”
